The event has been set up to raise money for the Community Foundation for Surrey and the Surrey Hills Trust Fund. Organisers Rutland Management and aat events wanted to launch the charity event on 1st December 2015 so needed a two-week turnaround to ensure a website and marketing material were ready.

The website not only provides information to participants and volunteers, but allows them to sign-up and pay to enter a challenge.
